Needle hits to kill
Silksong multiplies every hit on this enemy by its own factor for your needle level (HealthManager damage scaling), so upgrades help here more or less than the raw damage suggests. For 45 HP, and a hit for the needle's own damage (crest attacks multiply it first).
| Needle | Damage | Scaling here | Dealt | Hits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Needle | 5 | ×1.25 | 6 | 8 |
| Sharpened Needle | 9 | ×1 | 9 | 5 |
| Shining Needle | 13 | ×1 | 13 | 4 |
| Hivesteel Needle | 17 | ×1 | 17 | 3 |
| Pale Steel Needle | 21 | ×1 | 21 | 3 |

Item drops
Chance per kill, by the game's own pick rule: each drop group rolls once, and a group whose chances add up to less than 1 never drops from the enemy itself.
