Parking fee finder
Set your city's average carbrainess: get the rate that earns the most, the highest rate nobody refuses, and the odds of each answer on any price slider.
Early access. Car Park Capital changes between patches. Every number here is for game build 25985572 (read 2026-10-19); we re-read the files when the game updates.
How this works: a citizen judges a price inside a band of the slider from (carbrainess − 20%) to (carbrainess + 20%), plus a random draw. A driver turns away from a parking entrance only when the rate looks Bad, so on the 0–0.78 rate slider nobody turns away up to 0.78 × (carbrainess + 0.1) a minute, and everybody does from 0.78 × (carbrainess + 0.4).

- Bad 0%
- Tolerable 67%
- Fair 33%
- Good 0%
Every carbrain-based price in the game is judged inside a band of the slider: from (carbrainess − 20%) to (carbrainess + 20%) of the range. Where the price sits in that band, plus a random draw, gives the answer. At the entrance a driver only turns away on Bad, and judges with the higher of their own carbrainess and the city average, so drivers above average accept at least this often.
Parking rate by carbrainess

What is read from the game and what isn't
- From the game's code: the band, the random draw (uniform, worth up to 1.5 answer steps), how a score becomes Bad, Tolerable, Fair or Good, the parking slider's 0–0.78 range, and who refuses at the parking entrance and the car shop.
- From the game's scripts: every other slider's range and starting price.
- Our assumptions: "best" means most money per citizen who considers the price, with everyone at the city's average carbrainess. Bad and Tolerable answers at the exit also leave unhappy thoughts, which this doesn't price in.
